Elmbridge Model Club (EMC) is one of the largest multidiscipline model clubs in the UK. Currently the membership stands at over 170.
Based in Surrey EMC has the use of a large site at Ripley for Radio controlled aircraft and a lake near Thorpe for radio controlled boats. Silent flight is also catered for with the club having access to Colley Hill, Reigate which is suitable for slope soaring in southerly wind directions.
The Control Line is currently dormant awaiting relocation and a suitable core of enthusiastic members respectively.
After recent development the marine site at Thorpe now boasts a full size international circuit/Naviga course and regular Regattas. EMC sites benefit from club rooms and associated facilities.
Currently EMC meet at the Ripley (Surrey) British Legion every first and third Wednesday evening of the month for social meetings. Other activities include bring and buy evenings, static scale competitions, and several social events throughout the year. In addition to this EMC take part in local events supporting the community in an around our venues.
